Located on Duck Key, just 60 miles north
of Key West and 90 miles south of Miami in the Florida Keys, Hawk’s
Cay Resort is a 40-acre island resort with a delightful Caribbean
flair. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico,
Hawks Cay, now a member of Preferred Hotels, has redefined ‘barefoot
luxury’ in a uniquely meaningful and very beautiful way.
When you’re not sailing during normal
course hours, you’ll find a panorama of watersports and
shoreside fun. There are world-class fishing charters, sunset
cruises and boating excursions on an assortment of boats from
glass bottom pontoons to luxury sport-fishing vessels. Include
Offshore Sailing School in those sunset cruises! Dive Duck Key
offers lessons, reef trips and SNUBA (a new way to snorkel under
water).
The renowned Dolphin Discovery Program
is in full swing with participants enjoying hands-on interaction
with smiling dolphins, one of which is 32 years old! You can rent
boats, kayaks and jet skis, wakeboards and go to a water-ski school.
Eco tours are also available.
The Indies Club is still there –
popular as ever, and The Indies Grill is an outpost for classic
American cuisine for the whole family, served with a smile at
the Indies Family Pool and the Kids Pool.
Coming very soon are two special dining
experiences: The Beach Grill, the quintessential outdoor destination
for toes-in-the-sand, barefoot dining with an open-flame grill
and cocktail bar featuring grilled fresh local fish, ceviche,
and fresh vegetables right at waters’ edge; and the Alma
Restaurant, celebrating the savory vibrancy and authentic character
of Nuevo Latino cuisine.
The 7,000 square-foot Calm Waters Spa
at Hawks Cay provides an alluring menu of island-inspired services
and treatments, as well as a salon and fitness center.
In addition to our signature 3-and 5-day
Learn to Sail courses, our 5-day
Bareboat Cruising Preparation
course and the 8-day combined Fast
Track to Cruising® program, Offshore Sailing School courses
will be expanded to include Learn to Sail or Cruise and
Dive weeks, private cruising courses for couples and
families and a lot more.

furnished in West Indies décor with plush queen beds, a
37” Plasma TV, high quality furniture and beautiful wall
art. A total high speed Internet service throughout the hotel
and in all rooms is in the works. Staff-guided Interactive Pod
Check-In for resort guests provides a personalized experience
and welcome as well as a virtual tour of the property. This feature
eliminates the traditional front desk as barrier between staff
and guests. An on-site shuttle will take you anywhere you want
to go on the resort.
